"Sixteen Going on Seventeen" from Beautiful Thing
Music Philip arranged and recorded for a stage production of "Beautiful Thing". This cue played through a scene transition as a teenage couple kissed for the first time.

"Dream a Little Dream" from Beautiful Thing
The final scene of the play: A couple is dancing to a recording of The Mamas and the Papas song. During the scene, the lights change and it becomes a dream sequence. The music transforms into a big band for a moment, then tapers off under the dialog. The play ends as the stage becomes a ballroom, and during the last seconds of the cue, all the lights fade to black except the spinning mirror ball, then full blackout.

Rumer - Slow [Philip's remix]
I added an augmented string section and a few other instrumental embellishments to this track by a really cool vocalist. If you're familiar with the original version, I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you're not, the biggest compliment would be "I can't tell what you did."

k.d. lang - Theme from The Valley of the Dolls [Philip's bgv]
I sang these harmonies to the Dionne Warwick 45 I got out of my dad's records. When k.d. covered it, I tried recording my background vocals by singing into a mic by the speaker. It sounded horrible, but just a few years later, I did the same thing with a shotgun mic from a digital video camera and soundforge software. This is the result, and it was a giant leap!

Elegy
I haven't written anything original in a long time. This came out of nowhere a couple of months ago. It's for string orchestra. I was thinking of a friend who died few years ago. He is sorely missed.
